I am more than partial to Backporch Coffee Roasters in Bend, OR. My love for them oozes out of me, thick like perfectly pulled espresso. Over the past few months Jeremy and Dave have had me working on some design projects for the company. First was developing artwork for each of the three espressos that they carry. The concept for these was built on the catchphrase used for ICON single origin espresso. "For the people" addresses the two purposes for the ICON project; highlighting the exceptional work of the growers and educating people on quality origin coffee. This lead to a propaganda influenced design featuring key elements of espresso prepartaion.

The next project was developing the label used for direct trade coffees. The concept was very direct on this project. I waned to highlight the "striat from the farm" concept while making it match on a shelf next bags with other similar labels.

The final project was the labels for the hoppers in all the grocery stores that carry Backporch Coffee Roasters. The information for each origin was standardized so people could easily compare different coffees without the assistance they would receive in shop.

I took some time the other week to finalize my delivery packaging for future clients. From this point forward, every client will receive their files on branded disks inside branded casing. I left the space for hand labeling and sign each case to add a personalized touch.

While my family was in visiting from Michigan, we had the honor of taking my sister Lindsey's senior photos. Here is a look at a few of them.
