Boneyard Beer approached Backporch Coffee Roasters a few weeks back with the idea to collaborate on an espresso stout and since we have done all of the recent design work for Backporch we were honored to be able to work on this project. Boneyard was kind enough to allow Backporch the ability to help name the beer and even contribute on the recipie. This is what collaboration should look like friends.
Since this beer was going to feature Backporch's espresso we wanted to combine the style of Backporch's espresso labels we had previously worked on with the tattoo and biker style of Boneyard Beer's labels. This lead us to think "What would a Soviet biker gang's back piece look like?" You will notice that many of the elments of Backporch's labels are reapplied here to further tie in the connection between the two.
Last nigh was the official release of The Backbone at the soon to be opened new Backporch location which will feature the new roasting facility. We were able to snap a few pictures of the labels and shirts for you guys.
